FCAS Email Service

Take advantage of a new way to keep in touch with the Fort Collins Audubon Society and your fellow members -- the Yahoo! Group fcaudubon.

The fcaudubon group was created to supplement the Ptarmigan and this website. It functions as an e-mail news service, chat room, and more! You must be a member of Fort Collins Audubon Society to subscribe to fcaudubon, but anyone can visit and read posted messages. (Join now!)

You can use fcaudubon to:

• Receive e-mail reminders about FCAS events, last-minute opportunities and changes in field trips, conservation alerts, calls for volunteers, and other timely news.
• Post e-mail messages to share sightings of unusual birds in Larimer County and surrounding areas.
• Post e-mail messages to inform other members of interesting news items and events related to the mission of Fort Collins Audubon Society.
• Discuss issues of interest to FCAS members.

You can participate in three ways:

1. Visit https://groups.yahoo.com/group/fcaudubon/ as a guest and browse recent postings. You don't have to be a subscriber to catch up on all the messages.


2. Subscribe to the fcaudubon group to send and receive e-mail postings
• Use the e-mail address where you would like to receive e-mail posts from the group.
• Your subscription will be automatically set to receive individual e-mail messages from other group members.
• If you prefer to receive only a daily digest or special notices (see below), you can e-mail fcaudubon@yahoo.com to request this change.


3. Subscribe to the fcaudubon group and also sign up for a Yahoo! ID (free from Yahoo!) to enjoy additional fcaudubon group features, such as online chat and access to your subscriber preferences.
• Use the e-mail address where you would like to receive e-mail posts from the group.
• Set e-mail-related preferences on your group membership and choose to receive:
• Individual e-mails - Receive individual messages.
• Daily digest - Receive a daily compilation of many emails in one message.
• Special notices - Receive only important email notices from the group moderator.
• No e-mail - Read messages on the web site.

To subscribe to fcaudubon:

• Enter the e-mail address where you would like to receive e-mail posts. Yahoo! will ask you to verify your subscription choice:
• Choose "Join the group" to sign up for access to all fcaudubon group features. You will be required to sign up for a Yahoo! ID (free!), if you don't already have one.

OR


• Choose "Join the mailing list instead" to sign up to receive and post messages directly from your own e-mail account. (This alternate option is provided at the bottom of the "Request to join" page.) Enter your e-mail address below and click on the Yahoo! Groups link to subscribe. Include your FCAS Member Name in the "Comment to Owner" box when prompted.
